Christmas 2009 at the Smith's!

Christmas time at the Smith's is a crazy fun time. A few presents for three kids adds up quickly. Dylan is too young to really know what is going on but the other two were very excited. Especially Eric! He woke up about 1:30am to check to see if Santa Clause came and was pleasantly surprised to see everything under the tree. Luckily, he didn't go and wake everyone up and we told him it wasn't morning yet and had to go back to sleep. I don't think he slept very well knowing that there were presents under the tree.

So around 5:30am, Emily and Eric came rushing into our room. Dylan was still fast asleep and we decided to let him sleep a little longer. Eric came down and started looking through the presents and pulling anything with his name over to his little area. So Emily started doing the same. By time me got down there we had to stop them from seperating. One for one doesn't always work when a little boy is a lego maniac!

The stockings were filled to the rim. Even Remington got goodies from Santa. Eric and Emily each got a lego walkie talkie and Christmas candy goodies. Emily got Hello Kitty Jelly Beans, Hello Kitty Pez dispenser, a movie and other suff. Eric got plain jelly beans, C3PO pez dispenser, and other stuff. Dylan got Wintertime Mickey, Goofy, and Pluto. As well as a little candy, but let's face it he is a baby and won't eat too mcuh of his candy. Daddy got Steeler stuff in his stocking. Including Steeler socks, Steeler travel mug, Penalty flag, and other things. Mommy got a watch and other things as well.

Dylan was hysterical. He does his best to try and say "Mickey" but it usually comes out "iky". He also hams it up when he sees the camera. He wasn't really sure what to do with presents. but once he figured it out he was ok with ripping the paper. The first present he opend was a Mickey chair. He loved it. However, it was game over and all he wanted to do was sit on his chair.

Emily didn't have anything on her list for the most part except for Hello Kitty. However Hello Kitty is more clothing and accessories and not toys. So that was difficult also, she had just had a birthday a month and a half ago. So, she got Rose Petal Cottage. She loves to play pretend and I thought this would be great for her. I know she may be a little old for it but she loved it!

Eric, of course, wanted Lego's! Lots and lots of Lego's. However, earlier in the year he bought a Star Wars Lego Dictionary book from his book fair. It is an awesome book! The only bad thing is that for Christmas he wanted old Lego Star Wars sets. When we told him that Santa Clause might not be able to find them he said, "He can go onto e-Bay and find them." What a smart boy. So, we did what any good parent would do and got him one of the ones he really wanted - The Trade Federation MTT! He was exstatic when he opened his present.

Christmas was awesome!
